Bus Connections are available from Chicago and Milwaukee airports (see the Flights section below for specific bus options for airports). Most bus companies have a drop-off and pick-up option on the UW-Madison campus at the 200 block of N. Lake Street, conveniently near our conference location at the Pyle Center and nearby lodgings. Please see here for more information about inter-city bus service. Lamers bus connections also may be an option for Wisconsin travelers.

Flights

Madison – Dane County Regional Airport is about a 15-20 minute drive from the conference hotels and Pyle Center. Taxis, ride-shares and rental cars are available at the airport.

Milwaukee – General Mitchell International Airport is about 1 hour and 40 minutes from campus. You can purchase round-trip tickets on Badger Bus that will provide transportation from and to the Milwaukee airport to the UW-Madison campus.

Chicago – Midway or O’Hare Airports are about 2.5 – 3.5 hours away from Madison (depending on traffic). Round trip bus service to Madison is available through Van Galder Bus Company. Van Galder also serves Chicago Union Station/Amtrak.

Parking

There is virtually no parking directly at the Pyle Center and, even with a permit, you will likely need to walk a block or two to get to the conference facility. If you have mobility concerns and require close parking or an accessible parking spot, please contact Meredith Lowe to discuss options.

If you need to park a car during your time in Madison, please tell your hotel that you would like to include parking with your room and they will be happy to give you more information.

If you’re parking only for the day, you can reserve parking through the Pyle center here, which is $14/day for the Helen C. White Hall garage (600 N. Park St), or $12/day at the Fluno Center (314 N. Frances St). Each lot is about two blocks away from the Pyle Center. Reservations must be made in advance and are subject to availability.

The nearest public parking lot is the State Street parking garage, which has two entrances: 430 N. Frances St. (Frances St. side) or 415 N. Lake St. (Lake St. side). The Lake street entrance is closer to the Pyle Center. The fee at this garage is $1.50/hour, which may be paid by Mastercard, Visa, or cash. There is generally available parking at this garage.
