The UW-Madison Information School will award 5-10 scholarships to early career (in the profession 5 or fewer years) library staff who are US citizens and working in a library in the United States. Applications are welcome from librarians and staff with any type of educational background. Each scholarship awarded will include complimentary registration ($325 value), lodging for up to two nights, and travel expenses. This scholarship does not cover the Monday lunch or the post-conference workshop fees. To ensure a spot at the conference, register now and you will be reimbursed if you are awarded a scholarship.
To apply for a registration scholarship for the 2020 Lead the Way conference, the applicant must complete the application form and the applicant’s supervisor must fill out a recommendation form.
The application form must be submitted by January 31, 2020 at 11:59 PM CST.
The recommendation form must be completed by the applicant’s supervisor or a library board member and submitted by January 31, 2020 at 11:59 PM CST.
The winners will be announced by February 14, 2020.

WI Residents: The Lead the Way Early Career scholarships are independent from the Department of Public Instruction’s WI Libraries Transforming Communities Project (WI LTC)
If you are chosen to be part of the WI LTC Project, your conference expenses will be included in the project. You may apply for the both the early career scholarship and WI LTC, but will only receive one complimentary registration and coverage of lodging and travel expenses.
