Conference Lodging, Travel, And Parking Information

On-site parking is available at all hotels at $18-$20/day.

If you need parking near the Pyle Center, it is available for a daily fee. Pyle Center parking reservations need to be made at least two weeks in advance. Please Note! There is virtually no parking directly at the Pyle Center and, even with a permit, you will need to walk a block or two to get to the conference facility.

The nearest public parking ramp is the State Street parking garage, 400 N. Frances St. Parking fees may be paid by Mastercard, Visa, or cash. There is generally available first come-first served parking at this garage. The garage has electric vehicle charging stations.

Bus Service

Bus Connections are available from Chicago and Milwaukee airports (see the Flights section below for specific bus options for airports). Most bus companies have a drop-off and pick-up option on the UW-Madison campus. This campus bus loading location is located at the 200 block of North Lake Street, between Dayton and Johnson Streets, adjacent to the Gordon Commons terrace. For GPS use “250 N. Lake St.” The bus stop is relatively convenient to our conference location at the Pyle Center and nearby lodgings. Please see here for more information about inter-city bus service. Lamers bus connections also may be an option for Wisconsin travelers.

Flights

Madison – Dane County Regional Airport is about a 15-20 minute drive from the conference hotels and Pyle Center. Taxis and rental cars are available.

Milwaukee – General Mitchell International Airport is about 1 hour and 40 minutes from campus. You can purchase round-trip tickets on Badger Bus that will provide transportation from and to the Milwaukee airport to the UW-Madison campus.

Chicago – Midway or O’Hare Airports are about 2.5 – 3.5 hours away from Madison (depending heavily on traffic). Bus service to Madison is available through Van Galder Bus Company. Van Galder also serves Chicago Union Station/Amtrak.
