Power Up Scholarships

The UW-Madison Information School will award 10 scholarships to current youth services librarians and/or youth services staff who are working in the United States in public or school libraries. Applications are welcome from librarians and staff at all levels and with any type of educational background. Each scholarship awarded will include complimentary registration ($300 value). Travel funding is not included.

These scholarships are only available for current librarians and library staff who are presently working primarily in youth services positions in public or school libraries. All are encouraged to apply – applications are welcome from librarians and staff at all levels and with any type of educational background. Applicants do not need to be in Wisconsin or have any affiliation with UW-Madison.

To apply for a registration scholarship for the 2019 Power Up conference, the applicant must complete the application form. The applicant’s supervisor must also fill out a recommendation form.

The application form should be attached to an email addressed to Meredith Lowe, mclowe@wisc.edu. The subject line of the email should say, Power Up Scholarship [applicant name].

The recommendation form should be completed by the applicant’s supervisor or a library board member and attached to an email addressed to Meredith Lowe, mclowe@wisc.edu. The subject line of the email should say, Power Up Recommendation [applicant name].

Both of these forms are due by 11:59 PM CST on Friday, January 11th.

The winners will be announced the week of January 14.
