Librarians are recommitting to our professional duty to protect patron privacy. This tutorial provides guiding background in library privacy ethics and common library practices that endanger patron privacy. Modules will cover current and future privacy threats and how to deal with them, plus useful tools and event outlines through which librarians can help themselves and their patrons guard their personal privacy.
Other than general use of online tools and services and mobile devices, no specific technology background is assumed. Upon successful completion of the course modules, you will receive a certificate of completion.
