Adult programming can be an impactful way to increase the value of the library to your community as well as market additional library offerings. Learn how you can build multiple program themes and tracks, leverage your local experts, promote your local businesses, and provide lifelong learning opportunities to residents by being intentional and goal-focused with your program slate.

Course Audience:
This class is ideal for adult librarians and staff in both rural and urban areas who are new to the field, as well as librarians already involved with programming and are seeking idea sharing and inspiration to revitalize their program slates, or finding ways to budget for expanding programming for their community
Instructor
Emily Kornak is the Library Director at the Lake Geneva Public Library. She holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and an MLIS from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Prior to working at Lake Geneva, she was a business services and adult services librarian at the Barrington Area Library and Waukesha Public Library. She is active in WLA and has served on ALA committees as well as local boards and committees.
