ALA Accreditation 2022

ALA Accreditation

The MA in Library and Information Studies degree program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is regularly reviewed for re accreditation by the American Library Association Committee on Accreditation

ALA accreditation indicates that the program meets or exceeds the Standards for Accreditation of Master’s Programs in Library and Information Studies, established by the Committee on Accreditation (COA) and approved by ALA Council. The accreditation process involves rigorous, ongoing self-evaluation by the program and verification of evidence through an external review.

See the ALA’s Accreditation FAQ for more information.
