We celebrate our graduates’ accomplishments two times each year in May and December. Please watch your email and the iSchool events calendar for specific dates and information.
In addition to the iSchool celebration, students are eligible to participate in the UW‑Madison campus-wide graduation ceremony.

Are a cap and gown attire required at the iSchool graduation celebration?
No. If you have ordered a cap and gown for the main UW-Madison Commencement and want to wear it to the iSchool graduation, you are welcome too however the iSchool celebration is less formal. Most students, faculty and staff will be wearing other nice attire (what your guests might wear to your celebration). For information on ordering your cap and gown for the UW Commencement ceremony, please see: https://commencement.wisc.edu.
Is there a limit to how many guests I may invite to the iSchool ceremony and/or reception?
In April of each year, all graduating students will be sent an online form asking them to RSVP themselves. It’s important to respond to this email as responses determine sufficient seating and refreshments. We will follow back with information on venue capacity once all RSVPs have been submitted, and let you know about guests.
Will parking be available?
Complimentary parking is available in almost all campus parking lots to guests during commencement weekend. Staying In Touch After Graduation
UW-Madison now allows and even encourages graduates to keep their @wisc email accounts. We encourage you to continue using your UW email account, but if you prefer to give us a different email to use for future communications please let us know.
Diplomas and Transcripts
Graduates typically receive their paper diplomas in the mail four weeks after graduation. Diplomas will be mailed to the “diploma address” that graduates have listed in their student center. (MyUW > Student Center > Profile > Addresses) .
Career Services and Resources After Graduation
