The GoinGlobal platform features 38 Country Career Guides, 53 City Career Guides for the United States and Canada, corporate profiles and more than 16 million internship and job listings within the USA and around the world. This tool is designed to support international students, students preparing to study abroad, those studying a foreign language, as well as those seeking to gain professional experience internationally. The H1-B database and H1-B employer lists within each US City career guide are key resources for international students seeking professional opportunities in the United States.
**If a student isn’t seeing it, they should make sure their year in school on their profile is entered.
There is a glitch that sometimes happens in Handshake. The student doesn’t have a listed school year and the school year qualifications for students are alumni, doctorate, mba, masters, senior, junior, sophomore, and freshman. Because this specific student doesn’t have anything listed as their school year Handshake is not recognizing that they meet the qualification to see goinglobal.
How to access.
To access Goin Global Resource:
1. Log in to Handshake, and select “Career Center” from the left side navigation (this is in the web version)
2. Select “Resources” from the title options in the main screen.
3. Scroll down the Resources page, it lists GoinGlobal.
4. Click on that, and it will have the long UW URL.
