Internships and practicums provide valuable work experience that students can use to enhance their resumes and stand out in a competitive job market. They also offer an opportunity for students to network with professionals in their field of interest, potentially leading to job offers or future collaborations.
Practicums
All MA-LIS students complete a 120-hour practicum. We partner with libraries, archives, nonprofits, corporations, and more to provide placements. Practicums are an opportunity to apply expertise in a real-world setting.
Internships
Internships are important for our student as they provide practical experience and exposure to different work environments, allowing individuals to develop skills, build networks and make informed career decisions.
