Jiepu Jiang comes to the iSchool with and MS in Information Science from Wuhan University and a PhD n Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh. His research aims at understanding, evaluating, and enhancing search systems and conversational systems (e.g., Siri, Cortana, and Alexa) using behavioral data. His work has addressed the challenges of using these systems with a combination of information retrieval, HCI, and text & data mining methods. Jiang has published in top journals/conferences including Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, Journal of Information Science, and ACM SIGIR Conference on Research and Development in Information Retrieval.
